Why you should consider adding a cab enclosure for your side-by-side
Sometimes, when you’re out riding you don’t want to feel the wind in your hair, especially when it’s cold or if it’s mixed with rain and bugs. Luckily for you, the option to get out of the elements with a cab enclosure system on your Yamaha side-by-side is possible!
It doesn’t matter if you use your side-by-side for work or play, a cab enclosure means the weather and conditions will no longer be able to dictate when you can ride. A full enclosure will not only keep out the rain and snow but will reduce the amount of dirt, dust and snow that gets into your side-by-side to only what you and your passengers track in. One size does not fit all, so Yamaha offers a few options to meet your needs.
Hard cab enclosure kits like the DFK Full Cab Enclosure kit for the RMAX4 come with hard coated polycarbonate doors that are scratch resistant, and UV treated to add some protection from the sun as well as the elements. Along with a steel roof, windshield and rear window, hard cab enclosures are built to last, offering durability and protection while seamlessly integrating with your Yamaha side-by-side providing a solid, long-term solution to keeping the elements out.
A budget friendly option to keeping the elements at bay is a soft cab enclosure. While not as rugged as a hard cab kit they still provide protection from the elements, with a simpler installation, it allows you to ride in comfort all day. Soft cab kits are made from durable materials like SurLast® 300D and clear vinyl, while still being compatible with polycarbonate front windshields to protect you from the worst of it. These kits are ideal for owners who want to shield themselves from the elements without a major installation commitment.
When deciding between a hard or soft enclosure, it comes down to your needs, preferences and budget. Your local Yamaha dealer can assist you in choosing the right solution to suit your needs.
